Nashville, Tennessee- Day 1

katiefetter43

We absolutely loved Nashville! Coming from a family who loves music we felt like we fit right in. Jared said Nashville has replaced Boston as his favorite city, he could se himself living there some day. The sounds of live music coming from every block, just the overall vibe made this city one we will never forget.

Day 1- We stayed in a La Quinta in Goodlettsville, TN it was clean, the staff was nice and we of course enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. We decided to stay a little outside of the city just to cut some cost on a hotel room it was only 15 minutes from Broadway so the commute was not bad at all and the nearby Mexican restaurant Pancho Villa was especially exciting for Jared and his love for cheese dip.

Thursday morning we headed to Broadway, walked the town and shopped in some of the local western clothing boutiques. We had to stop by the famous Ernest Tubb record store and browse some vintage records and check out the stage where he hosted his famous Midnight Jamboree.

After that we were so excited to visit a real live recording studio called Welcome to 1979. We got to see how they create records from beginning to end. How they record, cut the record then created the master and copies that are then turned into stampers so thousands of records can be made from one single disc.

Then we returned to the city to see Broadway all lit up at night, before hitting Music Row to check out some of the famous record labels and studios.
